Beta Opening Phase Policies

To start:

  • Staff will be present to let members in and maintain safety protocols.

  • Shifts will be available Mon-Sat from 10-12:15, 12:15-2:45, and 2:45-5:00.

  • Shifts include:

    • 1 spot for the Woodshop (includes use of the CNC)

    • 1 for the Eshop

    • 2 for the Outside Pad area*

    • 2 for the Inside Main Area

    • 1 for the Glowforge

  • 3D printing project files can be sent to [email protected]

    and we will print those for you to pick-up at a later date.

* we have a new portable SawStop tablesaw and our other portable tools/equipment that can be used outside so the Outside Pad Area is available for metalworking, woodworking, and other projects.

Protocols for entering the space:

  • You must wear a mask (we have a few if you don't),

  • DO NOT come if you're not feeling well (such as coughing, shortness of breath, fever, etc.) or if you've been exposed to someone who's tested positive for Covid19,

  • We will take your temperature before you enter (please feel free to bring your own thermometer if you'd prefer,) and you will be required to wash your hands,

  • We will maintain proper social distancing in the space,

  • Please consider staying home if you are part of an at-risk population (ie/ elderly, immuno-compromised, etc.)

  • Staff reserves the right to decline access to any member for any reason,

  • We ask that members who have been in the space, and then test positive for Covid19, let us know immediately.

Protocols while in the space and before leaving:

  • Maintain social distancing and keep your masks on,

  • If needed, please bring your own laptop (our community laptops will be available upon request,)

  • Break room will not be available except for washing hands,

  • Selective eye and ear protective equipment will be available at the check-in table, members will be asked to sanitize the eye and ear equipment they use before and after each use (or bring your own,)

  • Members will need to clean up and sanitize the tools, equipment, area they use before leaving (we have spray sanitizers),

  • Staff will wipe down frequently touched areas at end-of-day,

  • We ask that you don’t share phones, equipment, tools without first sanitizing,

  • Woodshop door will be propped open for less contact,

  • You may leave large projects overnight for drying (ie/glue); But you must first get approval from the supervising staff person, and you should not leave them on the work benches.

Shift Signups:

  • To sign up for all the areas, click here for the SignUp Genius; This includes the CNC and Glowforge (we will NOT be using Calendly.) Please update your shift if your plans change and you can't come!

  • If you'd like to bring one guest with you, please email [email protected] and we will let you know if they can come (based on the area.)

  • If you can't signup for a shift, because they're full or you can't come during the current shift times, email [email protected] and let us know and we'll work with you.
